More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked as a teacher's aide at a preschool, where I assisted the teacher in the curriculum. I also did some voluntary work in an after school program in Harlem. I assisted children with homework, worked in the kitchen alongside them baking cookies, prepared and helped in a song that was later performed for parents.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy doing creative art works, painting, using glue/slime. Making music, dancing singing. Fun story times. I enjoy the outdoors there's plenty to see and do, walks, different animals, interacting with other children. Enjoying the playground and using our imagination at play.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part is watching a child grow and develop, supporting and teaching them new things. Celebrating early experiences. Patience is also important to me as a nanny. A child normally goes through different mood swings and behaviors, so It's very important to know how to handle them as it come without losing my temper or showing outward irritation.

My experience with special needs children...

My previous job the child ( boy) I worked with he had to do Physical therapy and occupational therapy three times per week. As a result of certain delays I was a big help in getting him on track and helping. I worked over zoom with his therapists who guide me on what to do. I he started Physical therapy at 11 months and before age 2 there was major improvements

The most important part about being a nanny...

There was this one time during his Physical therapy session his therapist instructed me to do a particular activity. While I was assisting the child the therapist told me try another way. I responded ok. A few seconds into directing the child I called him by his name and his response was ok. We al laugh and at the end he made a big sign which had all of us laughing.
