More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I played Disney's Princess Tiana for a non-profit Organization, where our profits went to the Rally foundation (for childhood cancer). During my time working with the organization I spent a lot of time with kids at Birthday parties, tea parties, community events, etc.

Indoor activities I enjoy doing with children are painting, drawing, puzzles, experiments, crafts, sing songs, play hide and seek, etc
Outdoor activities I enjoy doing with kids are chalk drawing, bubbles, riding bikes, walking, playing catch, jumping on trampolines, etc.

The most important part about being a nanny...
being understanding... As a nanny sometimes you and the kid you are keeping don't have the best days. It's important to understand that sometimes you both get frustrated, sometimes you both make mistakes, but understanding is the key.
My experience with special needs children...
I haven't personally nannied children with a disability but I have worked many events with them. I volunteered at a prom for children with disabilities for the past four years and it's something I really enjoyed doing. Getting to see them just so happy and not worried about anything else truly just warmed my heart.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I spent my summer nannying for a close family friend, and the mom really wanted to potty train, which I was down to help with. Her 3 year old however was not about it, he would poop in the pool whenever we played in it or went outside. She decided that she wanted to try something new and she told me to let him walk around with no pants on when we went outside to play. The next day when we went out on the porch to play with his toy trucks, he stood in the center of the porch, sealed down and just pooped on the porch. His mom and I laughed about it for a few days after.
