Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy doing a variety of fun and engaging activities with children, both indoors and outdoors. Inside, I love reading stories, doing arts and crafts, building with blocks, and playing games that help with learning and creativity. Outdoors, I enjoy taking kids to the park, going on nature walks, drawing with sidewalk chalk, and playing active games like catch or riding scooters. I always aim to create an extremely safe, playful, and enriching environment for the children I care for.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think being a babysitter/ nanny is an extremely important job. I see being a nanny as an opportunity to learn. I can further my learning in organization, communication, and problem solving. Although, I believe I am exceptionally talented in all of those aspects, I always believe everyone has room for learning. I also believe it’s important to build a trustworthy and comfortable relationship not only with the children that I would babysit but also the parents. In previous jobs, I’ve always made sure to have clear and precise communication with the parents to keep them updated on their children throughout the day and to keep my schedule accurate.

My experience with special needs children...

I have a lot of experience with special needs children. My brother was diagnosed with severe autism at a young age and I have taken care of him for as long as I remember. My youngest sister also has anxiety and OCD and I have learned how to understand and deal with their emotions. Growing up with them, I’ve learned to value patience and how to communicate with them when they can’t exactly clearly communicate how they are feeling or what they need.

The most important part about being a nanny...

A lot of the times while I watch after my younger siblings it is filled with laughter and fun times. I’m constantly making sure they have everything they need and I clearly communicate with them to make sure they understand I am here for them and can do whatever they need/ help them with anything. My siblings and I are constantly going to the park, playing roblox, or board games; within those things we always seem to be filled with laughter and pure joy.
