Hello! My name is Paloma. I was born and raised in Mexico City and came to Chicago for college. I got my B.S at Loyola in psychology, and right now I am in grad school at Northwestern getting my M.S in Marriage and Family Therapy.
I love kids, I worked as a nanny for little girl! We would walk around the city and enjoy free activities like the zoo. After being a nanny, I worked at high school for a year and half, in a mental health program.
Right now I am looking for a family that wants an energetic nanny. I love pets, specially dogs. I am very creative and love to do art activities with kids. I would love to support your family and care for your children.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a nanny for 2 years, and worked with the same family until they moved. I loved the little girl I worked with and loved to watch her grow.
I worked at a high school for a while in a mental health program.
I have experience working with kids and families, as well as knowledge on child development that I have learn in college and now in my master’s program. I have an interest in working with kids, helping them learn about their feelings and communicate their emotions

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to be outdoors with kids. Going to the park, walking around the lake. Going to free activities like the zoo, and summer music activities for kids.
I also love art and dance, specially during the cold winter days where we must stay inside.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Providing a safe environment for children and their parents. I don’t have children, but I can imagine it has to be very hard to trust a stranger to take care of them. I think that by making sure that the children and their parents feel comfortable with the situation then we can build a strong relationship. I also think that a nanny can build strong relationships with children and then provide additional help to the kids in their care.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments as a nanny is seeing how excited kids get when they see me come into their house in the morning. I love to see how they start to feel comfortable with me and how we start developing a relationship of trust and care. The most important thing for me is that kids feel safe and loved.
