I am currently an elementary school teacher at Hampton Oaks and a youth director at Regester Chapel. I have always enjoyed working with kids of all ages! I used to teach preschool and was a substitute teacher for a bit as well. I get a lot of joy out of caring for children and doing housework. As long as I have a task to do or a list of expectations, I’m happy. I have one obligation on Wednesday evenings to the church, but other than that I am flexible around school hours if I know ahead of time.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a preschool teacher for 2 years, a substitute teacher for 3 years, and I’m going into my third year as an elementary teacher. I also work with middle school and high school students at my church through the youth group.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Any opportunity to get outside and get active is a plus, but I also enjoy teaching how to play board games or even letting them show me something new! I love seeing their eyes light up when they talk about something they love.

My experience with special needs children...

When I was a substitute teacher I did a long term assignment for a teacher that had the MD (multiple disabilities) class. I have also worked with the autism classes at length as a para through my substitute position as well as preparing IEPs for students in my class now. I also have a brother with autism and a nephew with ADHD, dyslexia, and ODD.
