Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have two of my own children. I have a daughter who is 25 and a son who is 23. My daughter graduated from the University of Texas at Austin McCombs school of business and my son is currently Working and deciding what he wants to do with the rest of his life. Being a mom and raising two great kids that can give back and spread kindness in this world has been my most rewarding job!!!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I Individualize my plan of care depending on the age of the child or the infant and what their needs and/or what milestones they are achieving at that point. If repetitive play or reading the same book over and over again is what is necessary for their development then that’s what I’ll do. It depends on the child and where they are at physically, emotionally and mentally. I adjust according to them. :)
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important thing to me about being a nanny or a caregiver for a young child is to make sure that they feel validated and heard and acknowledged. I get down on their level meaning that it’s important to me to not stand over them as if I’m a giant but rather get down to their level so that we can engage with each other and make constant eye contact during our play activities and in my own parenting I found that to be incredibly important in their emotional growth which is hugely important in the world today.
