Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have experience in child care from working with kids in a few different settings like, a kids club program, three years as a summer camp counselor, a lead infant room teacher in a early learning center, and a preschool teacher as well!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy activities and crafts that also have some learning to go along with it! From several years of working with kids I've created quite the binder full of activities that range from age groups 1-10 year old's! Learning through play is also very important to me while working with children. I love outdoor scavenger hunts and finding new parks to walk and play at. Making crafts and keepsake items is also very enjoyable to do with kiddos, letting their imagination come to life through art is so fun and interesting to see.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The obvious answer would be to give extortionary care for the children and create a safe relationship and environment for them as well as do activities, make sure they eat, and create fun activities and plans. But the most important part to me is creating a relationship to the child and family that builds a trusting and warm loving relationship, childcare is more than a average job you have to pay attention to detail and build a solid foundation with any kiddo!

The most important part about being a nanny...

This is not a favorite nanny moment but when I was a preschool teacher I had one student who struggled more than the other when it came to writing their names. They would always make their "E's" backwards and everyday I would sit and have to fix and rewrite it with them in hopes the next day they could do it on their own. A few weeks before it was summer break and my kiddos would be onto kindergarten the student came in and sat down and started practicing their name and for the first time they did it correctly by themselves. I received the biggest hug and smile in my life from a little five year old and I think of that moment almost daily.
