Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked at Tendercare Tot Center! A wonderful nature based daycare center. I started with infants and also worked with toddlers and preschoolers. Work included developmental learning and basic care. (Changing, feeding, play, and nap time.)

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Indoor: I do baking, art projects, simple science, dancing, yoga, and reading.
Outdoor: nature walks, bikes, various sports playtime, and games.

My experience with special needs children...

In the daycare we had children from all different walks of life! I used simple sign language to help with communication and I am know for being patient and gentle. Everyone learns at their own pace.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments was when a child who had trouble communicating started to pick up signs for “more” and “eat”. He was a happy wonderful child and I was so glad to help him learn to communicate.
