I am currently a Special Education Assistant at Thomas Jefferson Elementary School. Additionally, I have a been an after-school tutor for students age 3-17 the past 3 years! Last summer, I was a nanny of 4. Finally, I have experience being a dance teaching assistant and running the Future Cheerleaders program for Washington Township.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I really enjoy playing games and making crafts with children. I love being able to see the creativity and strategies that kids have. I also love building forts, playing pretend, legos and building blocks, making friendship bracelets, drawing, singing, and dancing!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny or babysitter is that you have patience, problem solving skills, and that you are educated about health and safety. You must also be able to get where you need to go on time and be respectful towards the kids, parents, and their home.

My experience with special needs children...

As a Special Education Assistant, I have experience working with children with various needs. For example, I have provided one-on-one and small group support for nonverbal students, students with Autism, learning disabilities, ADHD, and developmental/physical disabilities.
