I am a Speech-Language Pathologist by trade and have years of experience working with children of all ages from infancy to adulthood. I have completed tutoring certifications for the Pittsburgh Public School District in the areas of Reading and Math. I also worked with the Summer Dreamers Academy and supported children of a variety of age groups through various activities and field trips. I am compassionate, have lots of experience with children with special needs and learning differences and very patient and able to modify activities to the need level of any particular child! I am a proponent of supporting the holistic wellness of those that I work with and am passionate about child-centered learning and experiences!

I have 5+ years of experience working with children with special needs in the field of speech pathology. I have worked alongside of occupational, physical, and behavioral therapists and am flexible in accommodating a variety of needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of the first children I worked with had yet to talk and wean from breastfeeding at about 18 months. Seeing his progression throughout the two years that I worked with his family warmed my heart so much. I remember a specific session towards the end of our time together (as he now had reached most of his goals) where he was telling me the complicated 5+ syllable names of particular dinosaurs he was interested in and reciting them flawlessly while eating snacks. It is such a sweet thing to witness how far with consistent support our children are able to come.
