As a private-family nanny I've worked with siblings ages 2 and 8. As well as a 4 y/o. Growing up I've watched cousins for my grandparents and took care of my 2 younger siblings (12 & 2). I also have done years of volunteer work in all age groups for my home church (includes infant-12). I have experience in two one-time jobs with a 1.5 y/o as well as a 2 y/o too.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Anything outdoors (parks, walks, sports, etc.) , swimming (willing to be lifeguard trained upon hire) , children's museums, zoo's/ anything to do with animals. Anything the child is interested in I'm happy to be involved with.
The most important part about being a nanny...
What matters to me is getting some extra experience in childcare. I’m going to college for a degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders leading me to a profession in Speech Language Pathology for predominantly children. I think learning how to better communicate and bond with children in a nanny job will really set the way.
