More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
have been babysitting in the Atlanta area for the past six years, caring for children of all ages and working with a variety of family dynamics. Some of the families I’ve worked with have trusted me for over four years, allowing me to watch their children grow and reach new milestones. I am also a former middle school special education teacher, so I bring patience, structure, and experience to every family I work with. I also bring a lot of energy and love engaging with children through play, creativity, and hands-on activities. Children are like sponges, and I enjoy creating positive experiences that help them learn, build confidence, and simply have fun.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Whenever I babysit, I try to provide the children with a well-rounded and enriched experience. I try to do arts and crafts projects I find on the internet, I demonstrate different psychology tricks I have learned from my course work, and I will even do tutoring if need be! I love the opportunity to get loud, messy, and energetic with children... and we clean up afterwards knowing we had a good, full day.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and dependable environment where children feel comfortable being themselves. I believe children are like sponges, so I strive to model kindness, patience, confidence, and curiosity every day. I also believe being a nanny means becoming an extension of the family. Building trusting relationships with both children and parents is incredibly important to me, and I love being part of a child’s journey as they learn, grow, and reach new milestones.
My experience with special needs children...
I am a former middle school special education teacher with a Georgia teaching certificate in Special Education. I also conducted autism research while at Emory University. I have experience supporting children with autism, ADHD, selective mutism, OCD, ODD, learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disabilities, and other diverse learning and developmental needs. I believe in meeting every child where they are and creating a safe, patient, and encouraging environment where they can thrive.
