More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have roughly five years of experience which covers everything from high-energy birthday party venues and play places to volunteering and working in daycares. I’ve spent a lot of time babysitting for family friends, or families in social media groups. I currently work in a pediatric dental office, which has taught me how to handle many different personalities and situations. I’ve always loved working with kids and have remained in this field because I enjoy the impact I can make on their lives.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
As a biology major, I love bringing weekly science experiments like making slime or doing crafts that let kids create something hands-on and new. I’m very active and love taking kids on outings to parks, nature trails, or museums to explore the world around them. I also enjoy when kids teach me their own hobbies like new games or dances, and I’m always up for imaginative play like building forts or reading favorite books together. For the little ones, I find it so rewarding to help them learn and explore the world since there is so much cool stuff they have yet to discover. I always try to bring a fresh activity or a new craft to keep things exciting and help the kids learn while we play. I focus on making sure the kids are having fun and discovering something new every day.
The most important part about being a nanny...
For me, it’s having a balance between safety and fun. I want parents to have total peace of mind knowing their children are in capable, reliable hands while they are away. Being a nanny isn’t just about supervision, it’s about being a mentor and a safe space where kids can be themselves, learn something new, and feel valued. I love knowing that I’m helping make a parent’s day a little easier while making a child’s day a lot brighter.
My experience with special needs children...
Through my work in a pediatric dental office and various daycare settings, I have developed a deep sense of patience and adaptability. I understand that every child processes the world differently, and I’m experienced in tailoring my communication and play style to meet their specific emotional and physical needs. I focus on creating a low-stress, supportive environment where every child feels successful and understood.
The most important part about being a nanny...
There is nothing more rewarding than a child showing me a drawing or a craft they made specifically for me while I was away. It shows me that I’ve built a foundation of trust and that I’m making a genuine, positive impact on their daily lives.

Hi I am currently working as a registered behavior technician at an ABA clinic but as of January 1st I will no longer be working there. I have experience with children who have autism. I will be starting graduate school soon, I will be obtaining my masters degree in clinical mental health counseling. I enjoy working kids and supporting families. I am able to help with school drop offs and pickups, meal prep, light housekeeping, and help with homework. Apart from working at the ABA clinic, I have worked with a family before as a sitter for 1 year. I also volunteered at a women’s shelter and mainly helped their daycare. I am working on getting cpr and first aid certified.

Hello! My name is Jordan Phelps. I’m 20 years old and currently work at a daycare in Denton. I’m the 4s teacher! I go to UNT and am currently majoring in Applied Behavioral Analysis. I’m currently doing part time school and working full time, but starting in January I am going back to school full time, but I will only have two classes on Tuesday and Thursday, which means I’m absolutely free anytime besides when I’m in class! I love kids and have been around them for most of my life. I’ve been a babysitter and a daycare teacher, but I’ve always wanted to be a nanny!
