The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is creating an environment where children feel loved, cared for, and respected. It’s essential that they know they are safe, valued, and important. I believe in fostering a positive, fun atmosphere where children can thrive emotionally and mentally. By building a strong, trusting relationship with each child, I aim to make every day enjoyable and enriching, ensuring they feel happy and supported while in my care.
My experience with special needs children...
I’ve had the privilege of working with children who have a range of special needs. I’ve cared for both verbal and non-verbal children, and I have extensive experience supporting children with autism. Additionally, I’ve worked with children facing challenges such as fetal alcohol syndrome (FAS), AFOS (acute functional occupational syndrome), sight issues, partial paralysis, ADHD, and ADD.
This wide range of experiences has taught me how to adapt to each child’s unique needs and strengths, providing them with individualized care and support to help them thrive. My work has deepened my understanding of the importance of patience, empathy, and creative problem-solving in meeting each child where they are, both physically and emotionally.

Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Minneapolis, MN: Livana M.
Hi!
My name is Livana and I am a full time worker at New Horizon Academy. I am CPR certified and first aid certified. I have been working in the infant room working with babies from 3 months to 16 months, and am very good with babies but would love to experience working with kids a little older too. I want to switch from a center to nannying to be able to focus on just a few kids and build a stronger bond with them than I'd be able to in a center enviorment. I am currently studying early childhood education at Minneapolis College (and passing). My hours will have to work around college, although most of it is online, I have one class at 4:30 p.m Tuesday's and Thursday's. I have worked with kids with behavioral issues but have yet worked with kids with special needs. I also have 2 dogs and have worked at a doggy daycare, so I'm more than comftorable being in a home with dogs. I can't wait to meet and provide for your family!
