Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Anything playing make believe, any and all arts/crafts, science projects, outdoor activities (walking, hiking, creative park adventures and scavenger hunts, swimming, etc.), storytelling, singing and playing instruments (I personally love to sing and know how to play the ukulele, used to know how to play the guitar once upon a time...), cooking and baking together.
I genuinely really love to do almost anything that kids love to do because it's so enjoyable watching them explore, interact with, and learn how to navigate their world.

The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe the most important about being a nanny is remembering that children are whole, complex human beings that are simply trying to learn how to get navigate through the world and understand it. I believe patience and compassion make all the difference in nurturing our tiny little humans as they grow into their own.
My experience with special needs children...
Experience with dietary restrictions and allergies (and use of an epi-pen), experience fulltime nannying a couple of children on the autism spectrum, experience with learning disabilities and navigating homework, experience with diabetes and insulin pumps with children, experience with feeding tubes with children, extensive experience with medication management.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny "moment" was when I got the opportunity to be a live-in nanny for a couple of years. The moments I loved the most would be when the kids wanted to come down to my living area just to spend time with me and make paper airplanes or bracelets or play foosball (when I wasn't technically on the clock). Cultivating that relationship and supportive connection and seeing how that manifests is by far my favorite nannying moment.
