Being able to help out a family durring what could and should be such a joyful time, but could end up be a stressful time without that bit of extra help.
My experience with special needs children...
I had many autistic children as haircut clients. So I wouldn't call myself an expert or a specialized professional by any means in this field, but aparently I got put onto a parent's of autistic children group as being a good person to go to if you had an autistic child.
The most important part about being a nanny...
When the 11 month little boy finally clapped back after working on that Milestone all month! Honestly, any time one of the milestones we had been working on got reached or repeated. That's actually WHY I decided that THIS was what I wanted and needed to do with my life.
