A little bit about me

I have a lot of work experience with children, ranging from nannying, to teaching piano and coaching autistic children in weightlifting. I also have volunteer experience tutoring children in need for the Salvation Army. I love children, and I love helping them learn and grow. I recently graduated from nursing school. I also have experience tutoring college students for beginner English courses. I am willing to do research to help enrich your children's school year and help them grow. I love being active, I have my own car, and every person I've ever worked for would recommend me as an employee. I am also BLS certified and have worked in the medical field for quite some time.

More About Me

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Going to parks, going for walks, throwing a ball/frisbee around, any kind of craft or creative activity, as well as child tutoring.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe the most important part of being a nanny is being empathetic and open to the emotions of children. They need someone they can trust and be happy around.

My experience with special needs children...

I am a personal trainer and several years ago I did a weightlifting summer program for children who were both on and off the autism spectrum. It was quite eye opening, and I was sad to end the program at the end of summer.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Not quite a nannying moment, but more of a tutoring moment. I used to tutor children as a volunteer for the salvation army, and there was this one very young girl who had such an optimistic personality. I worked with her, generally on math homework, which she caught onto very quickly. One of the last days before I left she told me she was smart and that she was going to go to college like me some day, maybe be an engineer. She also gave me a hug before I went. It was quite touching, especially since people tend to underestimate underprivileged children. It made me teary eyed and I assured her she was doing a great job and would one day attend a college and continue to enjoy her education. She just smiled. But it touched my heart.
