A little bit about me

I am a wife, mother and grandmother. I have 3 dogs and several fish. I teach Bible lessons at my local church to kids from 7 years old to 11 years old with emphasis on navigating through the Bible (finding chapters and verses). I love puzzles, drawing, painting, playing board games and crochet. I enjoy classic Disney, family movies and amusement parks. I am willing to help with homework, do light cleaning and prepare meals (also involving kids to encourage them to enjoy cooking). I am quiet, a little shy but warm up easily. I am also patient and courteous, showing good manners, hoping to instill them by example in others around me.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I teach Bible lessons to children between the ages of 7 and 11 with a focus on finding Bible chapters and verses as they go along. I have been doing this for 12 years at the Church at Suncoast in Jacksonville, Florida.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love puzzles, board games, reading, hiking, visiting parks, museums, and historical sites. I love drawing, painting, and karaoke too. Bike riding is always fun when there are safe trails to ride. Roller skating, either indoors or out is also fun to do.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I love to laugh. My youngest grandson is so outgoing and comical. He told me that I was his special Valentine this past Valentine's Day while he was loudly slurping a milkshake at Steak-N-Shake while grinning as wide as he could. I love the look on kids' faces when they discover something new that brings them joy, or the expression of mild surprise when they have accomplished something that was once hard for them to do.
