The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part for me is to make sure the kids can enjoy all of the fun parts about being littles. I think taking part in their interests no matter how “small” or silly it may seem is a KEY factor in allowing a child to express themselves and once you establish that you notice them open up immediately, which then allows for so much to be learned and explored!
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with autistic children, specifically pre-school aged! I am able to redirect and help them learn self-regulation skills along with learning their special interests.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moment happened when we had a child who was a very shy, she didn’t speak often and when she did it was really quietly. I worked really hard to make sure the child eventually felt comfortable enough to be herself out loud with me and other classmates! Now she is one of our most outspoken kiddos and I’m so proud of her!
