A little bit about me

Hello everyone! I am currently with my 3rd full time family 4 years and counting now. Thank you for your interest and best of luck on your search. :) Nanny/Babysitter/Housekeeper/Pet sitter/Parents Assistant or any combination of those. I love what I do. I truly enjoy assisting families in growing and becoming all they can be both academically and creatively. I am a very dedicated, loyal, punctual person with great organizational skills. I have many years' experience with children having been a pre-school teacher caring for children from infancy to 5 years of age, for about 13 years. The last 10+ years however I decided to become a private nanny. Of those years I have worked with 2 wonderful families 4 years with the first family and 5 years with the last family. Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Learning through play by incorporating reading, writing, math and science skills into everyday play. Also arts and crafts and just letting them follow their interests and help them expand on what they love to do.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I tell my kids I watch that it's my job to keep them happy and healthy to the best of my ability. And if what I can help out with makes the parents life a bit easier than I feel I have done my job.

My experience with special needs children...

From my previous work in preschools I have some knowledge on behavioral issues and how to get on the child's level to understand how to resolve issues. I also have some experience caring for an older child with asburgers. And have taken care of many children with medical needs ie medicines etc. *Please note I do not have medical training I just help parents administering medicines when they could not.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Now this is a hard one. I've had 3 full time and 1 part time nanny positions over many years. So 1 moment I just can't say.... but I can say I find the most joy when I see a child learn or accomplish something and have and build self pride and confidence. Gives me happy tears everytime.
