A little bit about me

Hello, my name is Rosemary and I am 26 years old. I've been a house manager for a year, nanny for families through care for 4 years. I've worked with anywhere from a 2-week-old infant to to some great 13 year olds. I have been in KC for 2 years and I'm looking for occasional babysitting positions! I enjoy doing arts and crafts, playtime, reading time, educational time all to keep kids happy and growing! I have great patience and understanding that lends itself wonderfully to making that connection with children. I am CPR/first aid certified, I have experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities including autism along with children who just need more patience and understanding. Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love taking the children to Parks but I've also been known to create simple but effective games that help them get there mean he's out that they also find fun. As far as indoor activities although some children need more stimulus and more creative activities most children are pretty content with coloring, inside games and again games that I makeup on the spot.

At my most recent job I was having to have really long talks with the eldest child because he was trying to see how much he could get away with. It always resulted in him getting in trouble and it seems like he just wasn't willing to listen to me. I can remember I had just had a talk with him about me not being somebody who has rules for no reason that they're there for safety and for fairness. We didn't have really any problems immediately after that but I can remember after picking the boys up and allowing them to play in the park, there was another group of siblings that they had really taken two and they had asked if their mom would let the boys play a little longer they meant me of course. I could just hear as my kid answered that I wasn't his mom but I was his babysitter and they asked him if I was a nice babysitter and he paused for just a moment and then he said she's tough when she needs to be but she's really fun and yes she's really nice. This was probably my proudest moment
