One of my favorite moments was when one of the kids I cared for was having a tough day. The parent had let me know ahead of time and gave me a heads-up about possible behavior issues. Instead of focusing on the challenges, I made it a priority to lift her spirits. Throughout the day, I engaged her with kindness, patience, and fun activities. By the end of the day, she was already feeling much happier. When her parents came home, they were so relieved and pleased to see their child smiling again—it was a really rewarding moment.
