I’ve worked in homes with families as a private nanny as well as in private facility for disabled children from ages 3 months to 21 years of age.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Indoor activities that I implement with children depending on ages are having to do with learning, baking, playing with their favorite toys/games, coloring activities, etc. Outdoors with parents permission would be things parents would allow and be ok with as in taking walks in park, walk in the area, places with activities, etc.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The fact that I am with the child for a significant amount of the day makes me realize I largely influence them and can impact their lives. It is a huge responsibility that the parents trust me with but also an honor and a privilege. Families trust nannies with their cherished children and they deserve to have someone who truly cares about them, has fun with them and won't put them in harm's way. That’s what’s most important to me about being a nanny.

I had a job for about a year as a child counselor and that was my best job so far. Being able to connect with children and teach them new skills was my favorite part, and having an everlasting effect on them.
