The most important part of being a nanny isn’t about having the perfect schedule or the cleanest playroom. It’s about being someone a child can count on. It’s the everyday moments, tying shoes, wiping noses, reading the same book five times in a row, that slowly build trust. It’s learning how each child laughs, what makes them feel safe, and how to comfort them when the world feels too big. Being a nanny means showing up with patience, love, and a sense of humor. Some days are messy. Some are magical. Most are a bit of both. But in the middle of it all, you get to help a little person grow, feel loved, and know they matter.
