A little bit about me

I am a mature and responsible adult but am also a child at heart. I love going to parks and playing various different games. I am active and involved, love to actually get to know the children I nanny, and be a role model. When I am around children I just feel happier and comfortable. I plan to be an elementary school teacher, so my future also involves being surrounded by children.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Making a positive impact on the children, building confidence. Creating an environment where the children feel safe, valued and heard.

My experience with special needs children...

I have nannied for a child that is on the autism spectrum. Also many children with ADHD and children that struggle to express their emotions.

The most important part about being a nanny...

In May I became a full-time nanny of a four-year-old girl, in may she struggled with her confidence and really just accepting herself. We created this song we would sing together every morning while I brushed her while she looks in the mirror and sings. My last day was August 13th with her and one August 16th her mother sent me a video on this girl brushing her own hair in the mirror and singing the positive affirmation song we created together. I started crying I was so happy because at the beginning of summer she didn't believe when was in the song and by the end of summer I could see how much she had grown to believe every word of the song. So my favorite nanny moment was that realization that I did have the ability to help bring brightness and joy to children.
