"We could not have wished for a better nanny for our 2 kids. We hired Samantha to take care of our 2-month-old baby and 5-year-old daughter and she just exceeded every single expectation. My kids absolutely adored her and we were heartbroken when she moved away. She was always on time, took them out for activities, took care of their meals, played for hours and hours. She is beyond patient and caring; she genuinely loved them (and still does to this day). I could not recommend Samantha highly enough; you will be extremely fortunate to have her join your family."

More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
While I was studying social work in college, I worked at the childcare center as a teacher's aide. My responsibilities involved assisting the teacher in all tasks for 20-25 toddlers whose parents attended the University. Some duties included potty training, meal time tasks, recess supervision, hosting story time and show and tell. Basically assisting the teacher in all daycare toddler routine throughout the day.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Everything and anything that the child wants to do that is reasonable :) I literally find everything in life much more enjoyable with children. The added excitement continues to amaze me every time. Top faves: exploring in nature, swimming, reading, visiting every park in a reasonable proximity.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Is being able to be a part of another family- which becomes an extension of your own family. Helping to raise a child or children is so amazing and emotional! Doing my part to shape them into the very best person they can be in all aspects of life is so fullfilling. Watching them thrive and succeed or help them when they struggle or fail.
My experience with special needs children...
My very first nanny job was a special needs position. I nannied for a little girl and a little boy who were recently in a tragic car accident and lost their mother. I assisted the family physically and emotionally. The 5 year old little girl was basically a newborn child again and had to start her life from scratch (with the help of just about every kind of therapy that I would bring her to each day of the week.) The young boy had 2 broken legs and a whole lot of emotional distress. One of the most rewarding jobs that I have ever had- Actually, the job that steered me from social work to nannying :)
The most important part about being a nanny...
All day, every day. I cannot choose one moment over the next, but spending a weekend in fall with my little Rugrat in NYC exploring Central Park over and over again. Also, helping a child relearn the most basic life skills after she had lost the ability to do so, due to a car accident. AND being all my babies best friend, caregiver, teacher, role model, and biggest fan everyday!
