More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have paid work experience babysitting, working in daycares, and working as a summer camp counselor. I currently work at a gym where I do child care and watch kids from 12 weeks to 12 years of age. I have worked this daycare job for two years now and I love the kids so much. I also have worked for Life Time at their Kids Academy where I learned a lot about teaching kids and leading structured activities. Being a summer camp counselor was probably my favorite job with kids because I got to be outside with them all day and every activity we did was so fun. I worked at YMCA Day Camp Heritage for two years and loved it so much. I am certified in adult and child CPR and First Aid, if you have any questions feel free to reach out.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love playing with children outside. I like to do silly activities with the kids where they can learn from the activity while also having fun. Working at summer camp, on the hot days we would play water games and those were my favorite. Drip, drip, drop and other silly games like that are so fun for the kids and I don't mind getting a little dirty with them. When it comes to indoor games and activities, I love arts and crafts. I love to lead different arts and crafts activities for kids to bring out their creative side and spark their interest in art.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about nannying is definitely safety, but I want to be clear that having fun is a CLOSE second.

My experience with special needs children...

I don't have a ton of experience working with a wide range of special needs, but I am experienced in working with autistic children and children with ADHD.

The most important part about being a nanny...

There have been so many memorable moments working with kids over these past couple of years, but my favorite moment has to be from working as a summer camp counselor. At the summer camp I worked at all of the counselors have camp names and my name was Noodles. I was assigned to a new group every week and my group this one week was actually the best group ever and I had so much fun with the kids. We did things ranging from singing Baby by Justin Bieber over and over again to doing pull-up competitions. That week there was a dress-up-as-your-hero day at the end of the week and one of my campers dressed up as a noodle because my counselor name was noodles. I ended up getting little trophies for all of the campers in my group because they all deserved it so much. I will never forget the way they all came and gave me the biggest hug right before pickup on the last day.
