I am a Paraprofessional at a middle school. I have a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology. In which, I completed my practicum in an elementary school. I also have raised two children of my own. I have volunteered at church working with infants, toddlers, elementary, middle school, and high school students.

I enjoy just about everything! I love playing games, being outside, cooking, baking, and arts and crafts.

The most important part of being a nanny is safety and a trusting relationship. The children's well being is number one. Both the parents and the children must have good rapport and trust the nanny. Being a nanny is essentially being part of the family. The goal is to implement the family value systems as the children grow with love and care.
My experience with special needs children...
I worked individually for years with a boy from infancy to 10 years of age who is on the Autism spectrum. This required finding different strategies to work with his temperament and learning style.
I presently work with many students who have ADHD and who are on the Autism spectrum. Also, students who have reading comprehension difficulties.

The most important part about being a nanny...
Honestly, I do not have a favorite moment. I find it to be priceless and rewarding watching kids explore and watch them master skills and become more confident. It can be as simple as learning to crawl to the joy of finessing a skill related to homework.

I was promoted as a building lead and ran my own classroom of 8 students from ages 2 - 5 years old. I was also a nanny for 2 families that attended the preschool ages 2-8 years old.
