I have never been a REAL teacher or anything like that, but hopefully teaching some of the 9 children I live with, counts! They recite the information that I explain to them, VERY well. I’ve babysat my friends kids as well!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Throwing the football, going to the park, drawing or painting outside on a nice day, skating, playing board and card games, playing hide and go seek in the house, listening to music and dancing around!
The most important part about being a nanny...
What matters most to me about being a nanny is the relationships you develop with the children. You have to know how to build the right and healthiest connections that you can, with them. You have to respect their emotions and feelings, ALWAYS keep them safe, and understand that children mirror what your actions display. Whether it be verbal, mental or physical. You’ve got to be a role model!
My experience with special needs children...
I’ve never worked with special needs children but I do not believe that it would be difficult!
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment is when a small child, about infant age, says their first little word. It’s the sign of a new beginning, big change, and it’s amazing to see them develop. It’s so wonderful. Especially when they start crawling. Their first reaction to really good grown-up food that they don’t normally eat, and seeing them fall asleep in funny ways when they’re really tired. Children are awesome!
