A little bit about me

I am currently a nanny to a 9 yr old boy, 7 yr old boy with down syndrome, and a 4 yr old girl! Looking for a new position starting in August when they move. I'm so sad they're leaving, but ready for a new adventure! I was a nanny of 2 little girls before my current family for 7 years until they both started school so it was time for me to move on to the next family. I still visit them! Before the girls, I cared for twin boys, a little boy before that, boy/girl twins before that, and a new born baby boy before that until they moved away! I keep in touch with just about every family I have nannied for! I absolutely love what I do and teaching and spending my time with children! In my off time I often spend time with kids I previously cared for or beg my brother or sister in law to have their kids for the weekend! I also spend time with my family, husband, and my 2 dogs. Doing what I do is an absolute dream! Love going on "field trips", doing crafts and other learning activities.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Planned and hosted birthday parties at a play facility, entertained and played with the children while creating a safe and clean environment at an indoor play place called Imagination Villiage, and was a care provider in a Gym Daycare creating fun activites, themed parties, craft centers, and keeping the children safe

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I LOVE doing crafts! I also enjoy going to parks or playgrounds, walking trails, going to the library, farms, indoor play places, zoos, etc! During the fall time I love doing pumpkin patches and other activities like that and during the winter really enjoy going to view lights (pending on if I am babysitting, etc), and playing in the snow!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Children deserve all of the love and happiness in the world! I feel that showing them unconditional love is important, even on their worst days, because they deserve to feel that even when they make mistakes, are angry, frustrated, etc, that they are still loved in those moments. Even if we are frustrated with them. Loving them and caring for them like they were my own family is most important to me.. and keeping them safe of course!!

My experience with special needs children...

I have some experience with autism and sensory disorders. My current family that will be moving I cared for a little boy with down syndrome for four years. 3 years old to 7 years old.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I have many favorite moments as a nanny, but the first one that came to mind was when one of the little girls I used to care for (and still see often!!) told me in the car one day that she loves me like a mommy because I do a lot for her like her mommy does so it's like she has two mommy's. The overwhelming love I felt in that moment was something else!
