Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
My teen years. I babysat for the neighborhood children. My own children who are now 24, 19 and 17. My niece, who i still occasionally watch for my brother and sil. My children's 2 other siblings whom I've known since they were 4 and 5 and now are 27 and 28. All my friends who have had children and needed a part time sitter for a day here and there.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I like to ask the children who are of talking age what they enjoy doing. For my 7 month old niece, I play a lot of tummy games with her because she is learning to scoot and grab. I have fun coloring and doing art work. Im very crafty. I knit, journal, collect... I puzzle with older children
Go to the park. Take them on walks, cook/bake with them. I enjoy sewing, learning embroidery, playing board games, talking to get to know them. Ill sing learning songs with babies (I have a terrible voice, my niece likes to remind me by falling asleep while I sing 🤣.I pretty much am a kid at heart when I am around children. I just find what they like and relate to them in that way.

Keeping kids safe and happy. Interacting with them so they feel comfortable. The joy it brings when a child laughs is irreplaceable.
My experience with special needs children...
When I was in elementary school we were given an opportunity to work with children who had disabilities. We would wheel other classmates to the area they needed to be in. Read to those who struggled with reading, help with scissors and art. I also got to learn limited sign language, specific to a song we were taught to perform for deaf children. I unfortunately retained none of that, but it was very memorable. My best friends (2) have autistic children of different ages and you learn every day how to interact with them. I enjoy my time learning. I've also volunteered and helped to feed those with special needs.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Honestly, every moment spent with my niece. I truly love watching her learn and grow. When I built a connection with her and she first smiled at me and reached her tiny hands out to me, it melted my heart.
