I grew up with plenty of children siblings and cousins, I’ve always been the oldest so I’ve always been the one to care for the kids.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love playing games with children that not only gives them fun activities but also enriches their brains. I like to play Hangman, iSpy, or flash card games to encourage them to use their growing mental skills. Hide and seek, tag you’re it, red light green light, and mother may i are really fun physical activities that I enjoy playing with children as well. I also like to color, draw, paint, play with play dough, watch movies and bake tasty treats!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think the most important thing is to follow parents specific instructions for their child and also listen to the children’s needs when they are in my care. The children come first always no matter what. Their safety and well being is the most important factor about being a nanny. Those two things can never be overlooked.
My experience with special needs children...
I don’t have much experience with special needs children, one of my child cousins is deaf and another is autistic and I cared for them with supervision about 3 times out of my entire life.
The most important part about being a nanny...
A moment I will never forget is when all of my cousins and siblings played musical chairs, I was the music controller, and it came down to the last 2 people. When I stopped the music it went doowwnnn, they battled for that chair for so long one kept grabbing the chair and moving it but the other didn’t back down and would try to track the chair with her behind to sit in it 😆. It went on for about a minute until my baby sister was the victor!
