More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have baby sat family friends children’s! I baby sat mainly this one little girl for months. I’ve stayed the night at her house and did daily meal preps with her! I stopped watching her as much when I got a job at McAlisters, I still watch her every now and again on weekends.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
My favorite indoor activities are mainly arts and crafts! I enjoy coloring, making paper airplanes, and slime. I also enjoy reading, learning about new animals, and playing card/board games! My favorite outdoor activities are playing an outdoor sport like soccer, getting ice cream, blow bubbles, and play with chalk!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Is growing a bond with the families. I love it. I love getting to know people, and making new connections. Being able to help parents, having their trust, creating a safe environment for the kids, and build a bond with the child and parents is the reason I love babysitting and want to be a nanny.
My experience with special needs children...
I’ve never had hands on experience with a special needs child. Growing up, I had a babysitter who had a son, who was special needs and nonverbal.. she was my babysitter from when I was 2 - 10 years old. I loved him! I learned and noticed little things about him. He’s triggers and when he was uncomfortable since he could never voice that for himself. I played and got along with him great even though he was older than me. He was one of my childhood best friends.
The most important part about being a nanny...
When I was babysitting this one little girl, her parents had went out of town and I was watching her for a week. I remember I took her to the lake, she loved it. It was a tiny seashell in the sand (we were trying to find little shells, because i love seashells) and she found it! She pointed to it and said “ LOOK! A seashell” I thought it was the cutest thing ever because she was so excited and happy she found it lol. I have a jar full of seashells, that I’ve shown her from when I went to the beach and collected a bunch of seashells. She knew how much I liked them, and she was so excited she found me one!
