I worked for a non-profit organization that cared for delinquent and troubled teens for 23 years. During my 23 years, I started as a drug and alcohol counselor. After one and a half years, I became a foster care caseworker for children of all ages for five years. Finally, I was promoted to a coordinator of two group homes. One for 10 teenage girls and the second one for 9 teenage boys. The last five years before I retired, I worked for an agency that cared for special needs adults. I started as a direct care specialist and was promoted to a house manager.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Playing games, taking them to kennywood, camping,the movies, and on a vacation to the beach. I also enjoyed taking them shopping for clothes.
