More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
As a camp counselor, I worked closely with children, leading fun activities that encouraged teamwork and fun. I focused on creating a supportive environment, listening to their needs, and helping them build confidence. It was a rewarding experience that taught me valuable skills in communication and problem-solving.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Some activities I enjoy doing with children is arts and crafts. Engaging in arts and crafts allows children to express their creativity and it’s always super fun to see what they can draw and create and really just let their imaginations run wild. Cooking and baking together is also a fun way to teach children about healthy eating and basic kitchen skills. I love involving them in measuring ingredients and following recipes and having baking/cooking competitions. And I really love doing any activity that kids are super passionate about whether that’s a sport or reading books, or playing with their Toys, or watching their favorite movie.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is building a trusting and nurturing relationship with the children. This involves providing a safe environment where they feel comfortable expressing themselves, learning, and growing. It’s essential to be attentive to their needs, both emotional and physical, and to further their development through engaging activities and open communication. A great nanny not only cares for children but also supports their individual personalities and helps them thrive.
My experience with special needs children...
During high school, I volunteered at an elementary school where I worked with special needs children. This experience involved playing fun learning games that catered to their unique needs and interests. I also had the opportunity to prepare food for them and read stories, which helped create a comforting and engaging atmosphere. This experience taught me the importance of patience, creativity, and adaptability in supporting their learning and development.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was definitely playing restaurant and I would make fake menu’s for the little girl that I would nanny for an we would set up her table with a Sheet and made it look fancy and sometimes the restaurant would be in Paris or Disneyland it was somewhere new everytime and it was super fun and made me feel like a kid again.
