A little bit about me

I am a former Montessori teacher for ages 3-6 turned stay at home mom to my sweet boy born in March 2024. While I absolutely love being a stay at home mom I am missing the excitement of teaching! I’m looking for a position that would welcome my years of experience with Montessori education and my baby boy as a built-in BFF!
I am a crunchy-ish baby wearing, low tox, organic mom. You can find us out exploring parks and going to church on the weekends.
Before teaching I nannied multiple age groups and provided homeschool assistance. I have experience in the infant/toddler daycare setting where I’ve proved my ability to juggle the needs of multiple under-ones.
I pride myself on gentle, respectful leadership for littles and finding inventive ways to stay off screens.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Getting messy! Teaching independence in self care and cleaning up messes, language and literacy development/ early academics when child is ready and interested, reading books, singing and inventing songs and fingerplays, painting, cooking. I enjoy observing and facilitating child-led play and getting children involved in real-life activities such as cooking and cleaning

The most important part about being a nanny...

As a new parent I have a newfound understanding for how important a village really is. I now know how great it feels for someone to love your child and look out for their all-around development. There is something so special in seeing your child form a bond with someone and trusting that person to lead your child in the right way. It’s given me new perspective to my old nannying experience and I’m so honored to have been a part of so many villages. I’ve come to learn that helping children is helping parents and helping families.

I have worked with special needs children in a classroom setting. I have experience with behavioral and sensorial differentiations, learning and language deficits and children presenting on the spectrum.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Getting caught in a Florida rainstorm while on a walk! Using the opportunity to splash in puddles and see the wonder in thrill in the children’s eyes when we got soaked head to toe! I love children for constantly reminding us how to dance in the rain.
