A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Sierra. I'm 27 years old and have worked with kids for the past 15 years. From being a mother's helper, babysitting, nannying, teaching swim lessons, coaching, tutoring and becoming a mother. In the past I have done some informal Montessori training, and implement what I've learned both in nannying and at home. I am also very familiar with the classical education model and have tutored many students. Providing rich experiences for kids while encouraging their curiosity and creativity is probably my biggest passion in working with children. I really enjoy bringing kids into the kitchen to help prepare healthy foods, giving them plenty of outdoor play and exploration and reading good books to them. I also enjoy teaching handicrafts. In my spare time, I like to get outdoors! I like camping, hiking, swimming, surfing and mountain biking. If I have to be inside, I like to cook, paint, sew and do other crafts. I have a 3-year-old who plays well with others and loves babies.
