Hello! My name is Skye and I’m a teacher and childcare provider passionate about fostering children’s emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. I believe children learn best through play and following their natural curiosity, and I love to co-create activities tailored to their interests. I take a gentle, yet authoritative discipline stance. I believe kids need firm boundaries but also deserve to know why those boundaries are being held!

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Neuroscience with post-grad coursework in Early Childhood Education to obtain my teaching certification. I have 10 years paid experience in the field with children and adolescents ages 2mo - 18yrs old. I have experience with and love working with children with disabilities and neurodivergence. I have worked as a teacher in a nature-based early learning center, private nanny, tutor, arts camp counselor, and in an inclusion classroom for both special and general ed students. CPR/ First Aid certified.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

One of my favorite parts of nannying in NYC (where I grew up!) is the endless opportunities for getting out of the house/apartment and learning from the city around us. We are so lucky to live in a place with so many parks, playgrounds, libraries, and museums to explore.

I am a huge fan of arts projects, sensory exploration, storytelling or creative writing prompts, and science experiments. With young children especially, I believe in lots and lots of song and dance!
