The most important part about being a nanny...
Is growing connections with not only the children but everyone in the household, no one is 100% comfortable when a stranger comes into their home so setting up a time to meet both children and family is important to me to make sure we are a great fit for each other. In addition I believe communication is very important, if I’m going to be your kids caregiver I will make sure I am easily reachable with a flexible schedule.
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked in ABA, DSP and group home settings. I have provided care for children with many different types of disabilities. I have experience with children who are non verbal as well as children who are highly behavioral.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moment was when I was working with a non verbal 2 year old and taught them how to say the word yay and sigh when they were tired.
