"My family had a wonderful experience with Sophia! She took care of my children (elementary age) off and on for 2 years. She is kind, diligent, caring, and understanding. Not late once and was great with communication! If I had my way, she’d nanny for us forever; but we moved. Sophia went above and beyond with the care of my children. They loved her, and so did we. :)"

More About Me
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I am very multitalented. I love doing arts and crafts drawing coloring. I’m also very musically talented so if they play instruments, I would love to help them practice or teach them some more as I play three instruments. I also love to travel or do little fun things similar to field trips where I just take the kids to have a little fun day. Especially during holiday seasons it’s fun to decorate the house bake cookies, etc.. I do prioritize homework though, and I also was very good in school, especially math so I would also love to help your kids with their schoolwork
The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe the most important part of being a nanny is strong communication and partnership with the parents. Being on the same page about expectations, routines, values, and goals for the children creates consistency and trust, which is essential for a child’s well-being.
Equally important is creating an environment that is positive, safe, and fun, while still maintaining structure and accountability. Children thrive when they feel supported and encouraged, but also understand responsibility—whether that’s schoolwork, learning activities, or daily routines. I strive to balance joy and creativity with focus and follow-through, so children feel both happy and confident in their growth.
For me, being a nanny means working as part of a team with the parents to help children thrive emotionally, academically, and socially.

The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was when I was nannying for a family and it was during Christmas time and the parents are both doctors and very busy and they didn’t have any decorations up yet so I told the kids that we should do something to surprise their parents that way it was one less thing for them to have to do. So we went and got the Christmas decorations out. We decorated the whole house and I had made some snowflakes out of paper and then painted them and we hung them up in the house and the parents were so happy. But not only that the kids were happy that they could do something fun while also doing something to make their parents smile.

Hi!
My name is mariah and I’m a responsible, caring, and naturally nurturing person who truly enjoys being around children. While I don’t have formal paid experience as a nanny, I’ve spent plenty of time caring for cousins and family friends’ children of various ages from infants to elementary schoolers.
I’m reliable, a quick learner, and I take pride in helping out wherever I’m needed whether that’s keeping play areas tidy, preparing simple meals, or keeping daily routines on track. I’m excited to bring my natural love for kids into a more professional setting and become someone your family can count on.
