A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Sophie and I just moved to Columbia to obtain an Education degree. I have volunteered with Jumpstart this past year teaching 3-5 year old's. Back home, I worked at a daycare and taught the 3 year old classroom. My experience with children is 2 year's old and older, and I would love to help take care of your kiddos! I'm able to provide a supervised, safe, and stable environment for your little ones.
I am CPR certified and can share my previous work recommendations.
Secondly, I love teaching and tutoring so if you have any school-age children who you want to get some extra learning in- I can be your gal.
I have received my first dose of the COVID vaccine and looking to get my second very soon.
Lastly, I love all animals so I am more than happy to pet sit as well as babysit!

The most important part about being a nanny is ensuring the children feel loved and respected. I want them to know I am enthusiastic to engage, play, and have fun with them. In terms of the parents, trustworthiness is the ultimate quality. I emulate both of those components when I am taking care of kids since I believe building these relationships to be most necessary.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Teaching the 3-year-old's led to so much laughter everyday, but some of my favorite moments were when we were all dancing to the Gummy Bear song or What Does the Fox Say. Those kids lost it when the bear started dancing or the song made such silly noises. It was the best experience to see so much joy.
