More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I am a teacher in Sunday school in kindergarten. I teach with 3 other teachers. The class is about 20 children. We have class every Sunday evening, with only an hour to prep. I absolutely love our classes, because we would go through the Bible and have a bunch of plays. We dress up like we are from the old times, in the Bible. We have lessons planned every Sunday, we have food almost every class. My favorite memory in that class was when we made Manna, it’s kind of like a honey pancake type of food. In the Bible, it says God rain down manna. And we tried to recreate it with the kids, using church equipment. In Sunday school the kids that memorize Bible verses get prizes, and always have a great time!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Taking walks, making smoothies and cookies, painting, blowing bubbles, having karaoke fights, making forts, reading books together, coloring, playing tag on the playgrounds, and outdoor water activities. Playing on the swing sets, and doing puzzles!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is learning to love the children you watch like they are your own. Because, coming irritated to work will not only set the mood, but also make them feel like they are the problem. Children feel the energy toward them, and nanny’s should make them feel loved.

My experience with special needs children...

I haven’t had any experience with special needs children yet. I would love to one day, be able to care for one. My heart goes out to those children since they need the most care, and they feel a lot. I’m willing to learn and help care for these children to make them feel just as loved!

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was when I was babysitting for my aunt. I would sleep over occasionally, since she lived pretty far. She has two children, Ivanka, and Samuel. It was a hot summer day, and we had just woken up that morning. my aunt already left for work. The day was like any other day, we went downstairs, and ate breakfast; eggs and pancakes. Later that day we went outside to go on a walk we had popsicles and made a fruit tray. After the walk, we started doing water activities, Blowing bubbles, and the kids were driving on their toy cars. We absolutely had a blast outside! When we finally came inside , we were all so tan and desperately needed showers! I gave them new clothes after they showered. We ended the day off by watching a short film, and when my aunt returned 30 minutes later, we went out to go for some ice cream. That moment when we were all eating ice cream, Samuel had told me that I was his best friend. It’s a memory I will never forget!

I'd describe my personality as creative, thoughtful and patient.

I like working with kids because they're so creative & imaginative. I love being able to find my inner child to come down to their level and create with them. Connecting with children is so special and such a unique experience.

I've worked with kids since I was 12 years old, though I have professionally cared for kiddos for 6 years. I love all stages of early development but early years are my favorite.

In my spare time, I like to cook, bake, craft, read, journal and explore.

You should know about me is I'm shy but I open up quick. I'm a very detail oriented and meticulous person.

I worked for a large hotel from 2017 to 2019. Whereas, after leaving I still maintained cleaning services by switching to housekeeping & maid servicing for 3 years. My husband and I moved to the Michigan in 2022 but will be returning to our hometown of Portland in Spring of 2026.
