Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I worked at a daycare facility where my daughter attended. I was responsible for the children ages 3 months to 10 years. I loved everything about it and it is very rewarding to know that I am making a positive difference in their lives! I also worked for a Christian-based school where I had a classroom of between five to seven 2 year olds and absolutely loved that as well!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I LOVE doing anything artsy! Crafts, painting, coloring... not only is it great for the children, working on hand-eye coordination and skills, but then they get to give someone their finished product and that was ALWAYS awesome as a parent getting something homemade to treasure! Also, love spending time outside, playing or exercising!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Is that not only the parents should feel comfortable with them, but creating a good rapport with the child(ren) as well. Having everyone feel safe and loved by a potential nanny is definitely a must!
My experience with special needs children...
When I was getting my degree for Occupational Therapy, we did some fieldwork in pediatrics. I learned so much about how children develop and I loved learning how their tiny little minds think!
