It’s important to me that the child understands how to follow directions and listen when redirected. It’s important for the child to know I will put his or her well being ahead of my own.

I have had experience in high school watching special needs children for 2 hours a day. I have also helped them with homework and such. My cousin is also on the spectrum and I am very well with him.

My favorite moment is when a child falls asleep in my arms or when they smile and if we can sit and watch tv together or when they tell me there goals in life and their interest. I like when a child has a connection with me.
