A little bit about me

I am a mother of 3 children aged 15, 18 and 20. I am a School Psychologist and have worked in public schools and private treatment centers with children who have a wide variety of behavioral and academic strengths and needs. I teach on-line courses for a graduate program in Education part time. I am interested in working part-time as a nanny. I love children and Erie and would be interested in a flexible position in which I would be able to take the children in my charge out to do fun and educational activities in the community and in nature. I love animals and am an active volunteer at a local rescue. I enjoyed being a Girl Scout leader for about 8 years and miss the interaction with kids and families that involved.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have worked as a babysitter, day care supervisor (in graduate school), school psychologist and therapist and scout leader. I am gregarious and considerate and like people of all ages and have enjoyed all of these opportunities.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love going on outings with kids of all ages. I enjoy taking them to community events and sites (zoo, parks, hiking, walks, etc.) I am good at making activities fun and educational. :)

The most important part about being a nanny...

Keeping children safe and providing a nurturing growing environment is the most important thing about being a nanny to me. Obviously, communicating and working well with parents is key to making this happen, too!

I have worked in in- and outpatient mental health facilities, public schools and special education programs with children from preschool- 21 years old.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I have a ton of babysitting experience and 20 years of parenting experience. I take some credit for how great my 3 kids are! My favorite moment as a teen baby sitter was when a young child I babysat for a lot spoke for the first time and it was about being excited to see me! :)
