A little bit about me

My name is Suzanne and I have cared for children in various capacities for over 15 years here and on the East Coast. I have also babysat and nannied in San Francisco for the past four years. I started as a babysitter for my younger sister and neighbors, then progressed to teaching tot Creative Movement / summer camps to teaching Ballet and dance to ages 2 - adult, teaching and directing theatre with children ages 5 - 16, teaching art and free play / for gym to toddlers, and finally to nannying.

I love nannying because I get the opportunity to help foster wonder and learning, and share in kids’ joys and discoveries, as well as learn from them as much as they learn from me! Kids I babysit for and I have enjoyed: singing; dancing; building; doing arts and crafts; going to the park, playgrounds, beach, library, museums, and tot classes; lots of reading, etc. Exploring the city; new cultural experiences and art forms; science and nature exploration; reading and making up stories together; creating art; and safely pushing boundaries are all big favorites of mine!

I have been required to do light housekeeping for former families, and would be happy to do the same for yours while the child is napping if desired. I love dogs and am happy to work for a family with a pooch, but am allergic to cats. I have experience nannying for kids between the ages of 4 months old and 13 years old, as well as teaching children as old as 16. I speak English and Spanish.

I grow attached to my families and am still in touch with former families. It’s so exciting to see how everyone has grown and progressed! I can’t wait to meet you and your little one(s) today!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

My name is Suzanne and I have cared for children in various capacities for over 15 years here and on the East Coast. I have also babysat and nannied in San Francisco for the past eight years. I have experience with ages 3 months - 15 years. I am currently a full time nanny looking for occasional / weekend babysitting opportunities.

Kids I babysit for and I have enjoyed: singing; dancing; building; doing arts and crafts; going to the park, playgrounds, beach, library, museums, and tot classes; lots of reading, etc.

In previous jobs I have been required to prepare meals and do light clean-up, and would be happy to do the same for you.

I believe in putting a fun, educational, and artistic / creative veneer on everything we do, allowing it to be child led. I have many passions of my, but derive even greater joy from learning the child’s passions and helping to foster them.

All my very best,
Suzanne

P.S.--I am happy to provide several references upon request.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Helping to foster creativity, education, good citizenship, and growth. I also consider myself their teacher. My current charge has learned letters, counting, vocabulary, colors, symbol recognition, and a love of reading with me. :)

The most important part about being a nanny...

When my current little charge was still mostly non-verbal, and I saw her pick something up off the floor and stuff it in her mouth. Concerned, I rushed over and said: “M, what did you put in your mouth?” I, of course, didn’t expect an answer, and planned to just open her mouth and feel around inside, but she looked at me and said: “Egg.”

It was such an amazing moment, and it is hard to describe exactly why, but I suppose that, in a way, it is the first “conversation” we ever had. It is the first time that she proved her perfect comprehension by answering a question with one of her few words, thereby conveying information and assuaging fears with language, just like a big person. 🥰

Genesis N. - Seeking Work in San Francisco

Full-Time Nanny Available in San Francisco, CA: Genesis N.

Hi! I’m a CPR-certified mom to a 2-year-old daughter and I’m looking for a family that’s open to a nanny mom setup where my daughter can come with me. I genuinely enjoy being around kids and creating a calm, fun, home-like environment for them instead of just sitting inside all day.

I enjoy age-appropriate outdoor activities, parks, reading, learning through play, and engaging children in fun everyday activities, snack/lunch prep, and little adventure days. I also enjoy teaching younger kids simple things throughout the day like colors, shapes, counting, phonics, letters, and basic learning through play and everyday activities.

I’m naturally patient, nurturing, and very used to caring for toddlers full-time. I’d love to find a family that likes the idea of their child having companionship, outdoor experiences, learning, and a more warm and engaging environment throughout the day.
