I have done volunteer work with children and churchs to watch over pre-k kids and also done mission work to help repaint grade schools.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love exploring different areas with kids! Like random ponds or small stretches of trees, to waterfalls and farms. I enjoy seeing the excitement on their faces. Board games and movies are also a favorite, its interesting how their brain works so it's entertaining to spend time with them.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Is making sure the people/children you are watching are comfortable and feel safe around you. And that they are well taken care of.
My experience with special needs children...
I don't have any that would qualify, however I was taught sociology and physiology in college. I also have several friends who have special needs children, so I wouldn't be uncomfortable watching/nannying one.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Was with a child at one of the schools I helped paint. She was a very young child, who was very quiet. She took a liking to me and we were attached to the hip the week I was there. I miss her terribly.
