I have managed an afterschool care program for ages 5-13 for about three years. Where I was responsible for planning and outlining all activities, tutoring, and outings. And before that I spent about three years nannying for a few different families, including toddlers and special needs children.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Art projects, creative crafts, science activities... I love any activity that mixes creativity/art with learning something new! Any outside activities such as swimming, biking, or nature walks. I love to get active out in nature.

One of my favorite things about working in childcare, is when my older kids come back to visit or reach out to tell me how much they loved coming to the afterschool program. It's such a special thing to make in impact on a kid's life, no matter how small.
