I am 52, married, have three grown children and I am currently the parent of my furbaby Mia, Jack Russell,. I have worked hard since I was 19. My work experience has mostly been in the housekeeping field but in the process of cleaning for long term assisted living facilities I found the joy of wanting to take care of senior citizens. I have worked in two senior citizen facilities for a total combined 12 years. In the last year and a half I have retained my PCA certification., first aid certification, and CPR certification. I have already taken the required class to become a registered medication aide, just need to take the official test🤞. I have found that the best me is when I am taking care of a loved one and making a difference in their lives.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Indoor activities I have found that are crucial to a childhood experience, are reading, making forts, building things with whatever you can get your hands on, running free in the backyard, rolling down hills, playing ball, letting a kid be a kid, but within a monitored environment, but also mixing that up with being shown how to be kind, responsible, sympathetic, and to do good in the world.

The most important part about being a nanny...

That moment when you have been teaching them how to do something and they get it for the first time and they look at you with those eyes that say Yay, I can do anything, priceless. That look in their eyes as they are about to drift off to sleep and there is that look of comfort, that look of trust, and their snuggly little selves. The look of joy when they see you and can't wait to be with you

My experience with special needs children...

I had foster sisters that were slightly mentally handicapped, that didn't have a fair start in life and came with a lot of baggage that took time to unload, sad

The most important part about being a nanny...

I always think back to being with children and the biggest thing that always sticks in my mind, and still makes me smile when I think about it is that unadulterated laugh that a baby gives when their laughter is out of control and you can't help but laugh when you hear it, there's nothing else like it
