Hello I'm Teresa! I have a BS in psychology with a focus in early childhood development. I have worked for DHHS - child protective services for 2.5 years and directly with foster children during that time. I am from a family of 11 children and was always the "mothers helper". I have helped to raise my now almost 6 year old niece since she was 2 years old. I enjoy watching children learn by helping them through play, crafts, outdoor learning, creative experiments etc. I enjoy watching child develop throughout the years and find their sense of self and confidence. Every child is different as are their needs/comforts. I listen to each child and meet them where they are in terms of needs and wants. I take a gentle approach in parenting and would want to discuss parenting styles to ensure we are working together to support your children in the best way.

I have cared for children who have struggled with undiagnosed behavioral conditions relating to transitions, sensory issues etc. I have also worked with many children who have an autism diagnosis over the years. Growing up, my siblings had many different special needs whether it be physical or developmental and I was the first to help my mother.
